A BUSY week of transfers at Soham Town Rangers has seen several big changes at the club, but boss Ian Benjamin insists there is still more to come.

Though three prominent first-team players opted to part ways with the Greens in recent weeks, Benjamin has swooped to bolster his squad in response and is still on the look-out for new players.

"I am waiting on responses from a couple of front-men who we have been looking at and I am hopeful that we will get a positive response from one of them, said Benjamin.

"I am looking at maybe bringing in another centre-half and a midfield player and I might look at another wide man but I am in no rush and I will only bring someone in if we don't have equal or better already here."

Aside from his transfer wish-list, Benjamin has already brought in 18 year-old full-back Luke Hipwell from Cambridge United along with defender Tom Moran, 21, who joins from fellow Zameretto League side Arlesey Town, both of whom Benjamin has high hopes for.

"Tom was player of the year at Arlesey last season and was recommended to me on a couple of occasions. I went to see him in training and I was impressed. He is an honest lad with no ego and I liked that about him, Benjamin said.

"Luke was a bit unlucky to have been let go by United this year but he had no hesitation in joining us and he is hungry to get playing which is great, im sure he will fit in well with the lads."

News of the new arrivals will settle the nerves of fans after the recent departures of full-back Aaron Turner, along with goalkeeper Lea Jordan and last season's Player of the Year, Paul Jones.

The trio, who all played a part in Soham's title winning season of 2007/08, made more than 300 combined appearances for the club.
