A SECOND-HALF blitz from Soham Town Rangers saw them secure a resounding 5-2 win over Bedworth United last night.

A narrow defeat at Bury on Monday had broken Soham's four-game winning streak but there were no signs of a hangover at Bedworth as Ian Benjamin's men smashed home five goals in the second half to secure them their 14th win this season.

The victory moves the Greens up into 11th place and into the top-half of the Zameretto Midlands League.

Scott Carter opened the scoring for Soham just two minutes into the second half following a frustrating opening 45.

The breakthrough sparked the visitors into life and Deakan Napier, Andy Furnell and Dubi Ogbonna followed in a frenetic 15 minute period.

To their credit, Bedworth refused to lie down and pulled two goals back to give them a sniff heading into the last quarter of the game. Any hope of a comeback were quashed late on by Richard Gammon however, who tapped home on 90 minutes to cap a memorable performance from the Greens,
