Youth section: A depleted Ely under-13s side suffered a 32-12 defeat to St Ives, despite taking an early lead.
The Ely pack dominated the early stages and they went 12-0 up thanks to two Miles Orvis tries and a Jimmy Adams conversion.
St Ives managed to level the scores by half-time and then took advantage of having an extra man when Josh Thurman was injured to run in three unopposed tries in the second half.
Ely under-14s fought a hard battle at home in the mud against Peterborough and won 14-5, with tries by Zeke Stevens and Nedas Bartasrus. Skipper Joe Coyle converted both tries.
