Shooting Cottenham-based Cambridge Shooting Club was crowed Club of the Year at the Clay Pigeon Shooting Association’s annual awards evening.
The national governing body for clay target shooting celebrated its annual awards on March 28 in Sheffield.
Judges said of the winners: “The club is continuously striving to develop for members and visitors. In this last year, it has seen a number of improvements at the ground, which extend its already high calibre.
“Mick and Karen Hodson are constantly offering something new and different to test skills. For the shooting enthusiast, Cambridge now offers six traps from the driven tower, fifteen sporting stands, a skeet range and two DTL ranges.
Their continued investment and maintenance of the club has been well received by their visitors earning them this deserved accolade.”
