ALEX Tory had to wait until New Year's Day to win his fourth successive Boxing Day trophy.
There had been perfect mirror reflections across Roswell Pits on Boxing Day, but on Monday there were plenty of testing gusts from the south west, especially in the first of three races.
Tory, in his Solo, took line honours in all the races but he took nearly a lap to get in front of Eric and Clare Christan sailing an Enterprise. As the day progressed Mark Loach in his Laser managed to get nearer to the leader and in the third race, lost his second place by just six seconds, on corrected time, to Graham Tory, in a Solo.
Results: 1.Alex Tory - 2 points. 2. Graham Tory - 4 points. 3. Mark Loach - 6 points. 4. Eric and Clare Christan - 6 points. 5. Maurice Favell - 11 points. 6. Simon Loach - 12 points. 7. Martin Mills - 14 points.
