EAGER competitors from the Ely Runners got back in the swing following their London Marathon exertions last weekend as they took part in the GEAR 10k.
A fast road race around the streets of King's Lynn, the 10k draws hundreds of runners from across the district with over 1500 runners taking part in this year's event.
The Glover family made it a day to remember for the Ely club with Daisy coming home first among the club members as well as taking third spot for the ladies overall. The youngster also picked up a new PB and new club FJ record time to cap a strong performance.
Dad John meanwhile was second home in a new PB time of his own with club newcomer Mathew Holmes also posting a new PB mark. Fraser Badcock and Adrian Stokes finished close together at the end, with Fraser just winning their private battle on this occasion. Improving William Wilson also fared well coming home in the top half of finishers in a very large field.
