Although penalised for fielding just two female runners on the day, Ely managed to pick up some decent scoring finishes ensuring that they cling on to second place ahead of Huntingdon AC.
Ely welcomed back Peter Gipp for the penultimate race of the Winter Frostbite League and he placed well to go with three top 20 finishes amongst the men, Alex Tate providing the best performance as he came home in sixth overall.
The ever-present Daisy Glover kept up her impressive form meanwhile, as she came home first among the ladies and 41st overall to bolster the runners' tally.
Nearly 400 competitors turned out for the League's penultimate race, which was held in Bourne over five miles of woodland track and soft farm droves.
For their effort's Ely managed to pick up 790 points on the day which was enough to see them hold on to second place overall, six points behind Riverside Runners.
