ELY City returned to winning ways on Saturday with a gritty 1-0 win at Wivenhoe Town.
The Robins secured their fourth win in five games courtesy of in-form Owen Kessack, who slotted home from the penalty spot midway through the first-half after Richard Chadwick was felled.
Though the Robins front-pair of Scott Fielding and Robbie Mason spurned good chances to extend the lead, the Robins were seldom in trouble at the back and will hope to carry their momentum into Tuesday match against Debenham LC.
ARE ELY IN THEIR BEST FORM FOR YEARS?
