ELY City's FA Vase replay against Woodbridge scheduled for Wednesday night has been postponed amid claims that the Suffolk side fielded an ineligible player.
The Robins drew 1-1 with their Ridgeon's League rivals on Saturday and had been due to make the lengthy journey down to Woodbridge on Wednesday night only for the club to be informed on Tuesday that the FA had launched an investigation.
Woodbridge will have their case heard by the FA on November 24 and, if found guilty, they could be thrown-out of the competition affording Ely an automatic spot in the next round.
