ELY City were brought back down to earth on Tuesday night as they were humbled 6-1 at Wisbech Town.

The Robins were never at the races in the game and found themselves 4-0 down going in at half time in a game which, up until a fortnight ago, had been earmarked by fans as a crucial relegation battle.

Denis Lightning's men have experienced an upturn in fortunes in the last couple of weeks but there was no sign of their recent flowing football last night as they crumbled against a driven Wisbech side.

Despite shipping six goals in the game, the Robins had their keeper Tim Catley to thank for keeping the score in single figures as a number of agile saves denied the Fenmen on countless occasions.
