SOHAM’S battle to avoid relegation continues to hang in the balance after a 4-1 drubbing at the hands of AFC Sudbury on Monday.
The Greens’ poor form has continued under new boss Steve Fallon, who had only a Dubi Ogbonna penalty to show for his side’s efforts against promotion- chasing Sudbury.

Monday’s defeat leaves Soham in 20th place in the Ryman Division One North, level on points with 19th place side Ilford.
A handling error from Dan Bircham allowed Sudbury to take the lead in Monday’s game, just shy of the 20 minute mark.
Ogbonna saw a superb shot come back off the post and Dan Cotton saw his free-kick well saved as Soham fought back but it was to no avail as Sudbury doubled their lead in the 33rd minute through Christ Bryan.
The Greens were back in it midway through the second half after Ogbonna slotted home his penalty but it took the home side less than two minutes to respond, as they dispatched a penalty of their own.
Captain Michael Shinn completed the win four minutes from time with a superb strike from range after he was afforded to much space outside the Soham box.
