there were goals galore for Witchford thanks to some fine passing and finishing throughout the game.

Oliver Richards scored his first goal for the club as Matthew Loades and Nathan Francis each nabbed six.

Daniel Chapman and Ruairidh MacDonald managed two each, with Sam Gulliver and an own goal rounding off the scoring.

Man of the match went to Nathan Francis.

Brampton 2 Littleport Town 5

WITHIN the first minute, a through ball put Nick Seaman clear and he drove a firm shot past the keeper to give Littleport an immediate advantage.

Within three minutes, the lead was doubled when a corner from the left was headed in from close range by Tom Evans.

Brampton pushed forward and reduced the arrears in their first major attack.

Littleport responded with a flurry of forays and soon gained further reward when Monigatti's cross from the left was steered into the roof of the net by Dan Bell.

Brampton were then punished by another through ball when John Kelly cleverly lobbed the advancing keeper from outside the penalty area.

Again, having established a clear advantage Littleport relaxed, and again they were punished by an alert Brampton forward.

As the interval approached, Sean Monigatti had an effort disallowed, but soon after he broke clear and steered his shot under the keeper.

In contrast, the second half was a rather turgid affair. In the end, Littleport settled for a comfortable victory.

THE last game of the season for both teams and it was end to end play.

Cathal Brown put Sutton 1-0 up with a stunning shot from the edge of the area. A fine save from Jody Holden in goal kept Willingham out but they finally scored to make it 1-1 at half-time.

Sutton came out for the second half and got caught straight after the kick-off and found themselves 2-1 down.

Brown got Sutton back to 2-2 for his second of the game. Willingham then missed a penalty but soon made it 3-2.

Sutton came back with another stunning goal from Jay Martin. The second half saw keeper Robbie Friar pull off two good saves before Conner Rogerson made it 4-3 to Sutton.

But Willingham grabbed the equaliser two minutes from time.

Man of the match was given to the whole team.

THIS was a floodlit match, played at Julius Martin Lane, home of Soham Town Rangers.

The home side responded to the occasion with a good team performance. Soham controlled the first half, scoring twice to give themselves a comfortable lead.

The first came from a long-range Simon Murfitt free-kick. The second was slotted home by Dan Brook, having been put through by a clever pass from Elliot Drewery.

The second half remained goalless with St Neots much more in the game.

Ryan Saban was the Soham man of the match.

Haverhill United 0

Soham Town Colts 5

THIS was a good team performance from Soham against a tough Haverhill side.

Playing up the substantial slope in the first half, Town created several chances but only managed to convert one of them, when Leevan Marshall toe-poked the ball home in the six-yard box.

Early in the second period, Ryan Brook scored, hitting home an Elliot Drewery cross.

Shortly after this, Ryan Brook hit his second, heading in after a Drewery shot had hit the bar. Then Brook turned provider for Drewery to shoot into the corner of the net.

Finally, Drewery was left with a tap-in after he again combined with Ryan Brook to round off the scoring.

Man of the match for Soham was Craig Allen.

THE game was evenly balanced when Tim Lucraft started and finished a fine Witchford move.

Little Downham responded to draw level through Aaron Canham before a solo effort by Billy Carter restored Witchford's lead.

Ten minutes into the second half, a cross from man of the match Jamie Woor was met by Carter for Witchford's third.

Downham rallied and with 10 minutes left, managed to snatch a goal back when Jack Ure collected the ball on the right, looked up and curled a shot home.

Under-10 Division E

Ely Crusaders A 2

Waterbeach Colts 0

THIS was a close game between two well-matched teams. Excellent play from both keepers kept the half-time at 0-0.

Ely started much brighter in the second half. A goal-kick saw Thomas Walker head to Scott Callaghan on the wing, whose fine cross set up Jack Rudkin to score.

The visitors came back at Ely but superb play from Oscar Haines and man of the match Tyler Thurston kept them out.

Ely's second came when Callaghan slotted the ball home.

Chatteris Town 2

HADDENHAM managed to claw defeat from the jaws of certain victory in an exciting match.

Rovers dominated the opening half and should have converted several chances but when they eventually took the lead it was through an own goal.

Chatteris battled hard and levelled just before half-time direct from a corner.

The second half was a similar story with Haddenham creating a host of good chances but failing to convert any.

Pushing forward in the last minute, they were caught on the break with a super Chatteris strike.

Division F

Littleport Town 10 Isleham 1

'PORT had a fantastic end to the season with this win.

Colt Harvey netted eight goals while Harley Cater and Ryan Bamber were the other scorers. Isleham battled hard and got their only goal of the match in the second half.

'Port kept Isleham out of the game through excellent teamwork. There was great midfield play from Morgan Coleridge and good defending by Tommy Faulkner.

Burwell Swallows 0

A STRONG start by Soham led to an early goal from Alex Knox-Hooke.

Burwell followed with some good attacking play but were held by the Soham defence.

Luke Webster-Sterry scored for Soham in the second half to make the final score 2-0.

Man of the match was Bill Francis.

Under-9 Division C

A STUNNING long-range effort from Spencer Saberton was the pick of the goals in this match. Other scorers were Alec Hewitt (2), David Mayle and James Edwards.

THE largest crowd of the season saw two teams fight it out in this close match on a perfect day for football.

The deadlock was broken when Jordan Edwards scored just before and then just after the break to make it 2-0. The Blacks got back into the game when Jordy Turpin struck the back of the net.

A free-kick led to another goal by Edwards. A superb cross by Matthew Hewitt was finished by Turpin to make it 3-2. Edwards scored again as the game continued to entertain right until the final whistle.

Soham Black's man of the match was Matthew Hewitt.

Ely Crusaders B 2

ELY played their most frustrating game of the season.

The first period remained goalless despite numerous shots on target.

In the second period, Charlie Root made a typical surging run down the middle of the pitch, played a one-two with Conor Logan and beat the keeper with a shot.

Ely were well on top at this stage and continued to make chances, only for Newmarket to counter-attack twice and score two goals.

Ely equalised before the break when Jamie Simper scored direct from a corner.

With one minute to go, Ely got a corner and all the Ely players pushed up looking for the winner, only for Newmarket to break quickly and snatch the winner.

AFTER a poor start, Ely went behind before Christopher Lewis equalised.

In the second quarter, Ely were excellent, with an own goal, two for Max Wright and one for Finley Logan.

Kyle Thurston and Alfie Green added two more and, in the last quarter, Sam Lowe netted and Wright completed his hat-trick.

Division E

Littleport Town 7

Cottenham United 3

THE first goal of the match came from Joshua Bidecant, and Thomas Deverell soon put 'Port two goals ahead after a fantastic set-up by Harry Morton.

Deverell added his second but Cottenham came back to level at 3-3, before Charlie Smith restored 'Port's lead.

Bidecant got his second to make it five and Morton got his first direct from a corner before rounding off the scoring.

'Port's goalkeeper Oliver Jennings put in an excellent display to deny them any further goals.
