GOLD medals were won by skaters from the Ely Artistic Roller Skating Club in the two-day Tyne Tees Roller Skating Tournament at Newton Aycliffe Leisure Centre recently.

The team won a record number of 47 medals, blasting away competition from all over the country.

Nancy Allen, Abigail Bowen and Ellis Hennebry won gold for Team Dance, Ellis Hennebry for Solo OSP, Rachel Hobbs for Figures and Combined, Zoe King for Free, Charlotte Morton for Combined and Chloe Thompson for Combined.

Silver medals were won by Charlotte Allen for Solo Dance, Nancy Allen for Dance, three-minute Free, Figures, and Combined, Maddison Bailey for Solo Dance. Abigail Bowen got silver for Figures and Combined with Zoe King coming second for Combined. Charlotte Morton was runner-up for Figures and Free, Chloe Thompson for Solo Dance and Figures, Hannah Walkley for Solo Dance and Team Dance together with Soffia and Wanda Handley.

Charlotte Allen, Nancy Allen, Abigail Bowen, Ellis Hennebry, Rachel Hobbs, Zoe King, Brian Paddington, Emma Taylor, Chloe Thompson, Claire Tuck and Hannah Walkley took the silver for Club Show.
