GREG Harlow secured his place in the quarter-finals of the World Indoor Championship after beating Ireland's Jonathan Ross 5-5, 9-4.

Harlow recovered from a sluggish opening set, where he was forced to settle for a 5-5 draw, to steal away in the second set and secure a berth in the last 16.

The world number two looked to have run out of momentum after being pegged back in the first set and falling behind early in the second, but rallied in the third end to get himself back on terms.

The City of Ely bowler then took the match by the scruff of the neck and numerous set-winning shots allowed daylight to appear between the two bowlers, with Harlow eventually emerging victorious.
