PYMOOR moved to within touching distance of promotion after usurping rivals Wimblington into second place.

Opting to bowl first, Pymoor combined tight lines with a full length to restrict Wimblington to a relatively meagre 144-8 at the end of the innings. Wickets were spread all round the team with Ruskin and Baker picking up a couple of wickets each.

It was with the bat that Pymoor produced their real fireworks though, as, led by Lorens Herschelman, they smashed their way to 146-4 after 23 overs. Herschelman in particular, batted with ruthless endeavour, carving four sixes in a 20 ball half-century.

Mark Neighbour also weighed in with 49* to help Pymoor to a crucial win.
