PYMOOR overcame a lacklustre batting performance to register a 23 run win over a plucky Wilburton side.

Opting to bat first, Pymoor struggled on an unpredictable track with many of their batsmen struggling to find their feet. An otherwise poor innings was rescued however, by the fine work of Steve Saberton who wracked up 54 and carried his bat to ensure his team at least reached triple figures, finished on 109.

Needing a little under three an over for victory, the task of knocking off the runs should have been a simple one for the home side but they too fell foul of a difficult pitch.

With their opponents struggling, Pymoor moved to finish the game and, led by Saberton (4-15) and Lourens Hershelman (5-21) they managed to clean up Wilburton's tail with little fuss.
