ELY First Netball Team's promising start to the season continued this week with a 33-28 win over Stretham on Sunday.

The match went down to the wire with both teams neck and neck until Ely pulled ahead in the final quarter.

Shooters Amy Beck and Jenny Calvert were on top form, shooting consistently well throughout the game and attacking players Katie Childs and Paula Edwards both put in excellent performances feeding the ball with great skill into the goal circle.

High quality play came from both sides throughout the game and the Ely defence proved itself a force to be reckoned with, converting Stretham possession to Ely goals. Ely's next game is against Royston's second team on November 3
