ENGLAND football legend Jack Charlton is coming to Soham.

The 1966 World Cup winner will be joined by former Liverpool captain and Republic of Ireland international Ronnie Whelan as an after-dinner speaker at Soham Town Rangers' 10th end-of-season party.

Jared Davis, of After Dinner Speakers and Comedians Ltd, said: "Jack always talks passionately and openly about the game of football and Ronnie provides a very entertaining and informative look at his life, from growing up in Dublin, to going on to become a part of the legendary Liverpool team of the 1980s."

Paul Fletcher, a former professional footballer and now a successful businessman, plus a stand-up comedian, will also be on the bill.

Soham chairman Colin Murfitt said: "We have had Jack and Paul speak at our previous dinners and they went down really well. Our dinners are always hugely popular and there are only a couple of tables left."

The dinner will be on April 5 at Julius Martin Lane, Soham. Anyone wishing to reserve a table should inquire at the club or contact Mr Murfitt on 01353 720002.
