LITTLEPORT II capitalised on an excellent bowling performance to secure an eight wicket win over Sutton.
Putting the visitors in to bat first, Port made the most of a difficult pitch and soon had their opponents in trouble. The sterling work of L Peskett (4-11) and N Heaps (3-23) ensuring Sutton's innings was wrapped up for just 78.
With the pressure off, Port's batsmen sailed to a comfortable win led by G Good (30*) and R Freestone (25).
An outstanding batting effort from Longstanton saw them get the better of a plucky Littleport I side.
Batting first, the home side made light work of the Port attack, racking up 257-1 from their 45 overs to really turn the screw.
Needing almost six an over for victory, Port were up against it from the start and, despite a gallant 71 from Scott Connop, they were dismissed some 78 runs short.
