WITCHAM hosted Isleham on Saturday and won the match by 64 runs.

Witcham batted first and opener Nigel Pate made 59 before being caught by Sheldrick off Goodjohn. Phillips, at number 6, top scored with 79 and Witcham finished on 193-9.

Isleham's bowlers shared the honours fairly evenly with Cant, Gordon and French each taking two wickets and Goodjohn had figures of 59-3 off his 10 overs.

In reply, Isleham's opener Fitchett made 24. Top scorer was Cowling with 57. But these two had little support from the rest of the batsmen, none of whom reached double figures and five of whom scored two runs between them.

Witcham's Phillips finished with 15-4 off 6.3 overs. Housden and Pate took two wickets each and Houghton had one.
