FORDHAM I kept their promotion hopes alive with a seven wicket victory at Barnack.

Deciding to bowl first on a rain-affected pitch, the visitors made immediate in-roads and managed to remove the home side for just 153 with wickets shared around the team.

Needing to score quickly before the arrival of rain, Fordham struggled early on and slipped to 24-3. The arrival of Mark Abbott at the crease heralded a comeback however, and his knock of 51* ensured that by the 18th over, Fordham sat on 72-3, far enough ahead of the rate to ensure victory.
