A cyclist with the Ely-based Mid Anglia Cycling Club has helped Great Britain to glory at the World Disability Cycling Championships.
Mark Bristow, 45, raced the anchor leg of the team sprint event and not only won world championship gold but also shattered the world record.
Bristow teamed-up with Rik Waddon and Jody Cundy for the championships, in Bordeaux, last week and they got faster as the competition progressed.
The trio broke the world record in the semi-finals with a ride of 51.80 but saved their best effort for the final.
The team's blistering pace saw off opponents China and bettered the world record again, this time by more than 1.5 seconds, as they crossed the line in 50.148.
Britain won four gold medals on the final day of the track championships, taking them above Australia at the top of the medals table.
And more successes in the road championships maintained Britain's top spot and boosted their haul of golds to 13.
