Erkan Okay hopes his Soham Town Rangers side can snap their wretched home form this weekend.

The Greens haven’t taken all three points on home soil since a 4-1 win over Norwich United on August 15 and assistant boss Okay says Soham must improve at Julius Martin Lane – starting with a win over Waltham Abbey on Saturday (3pm).

“We have some very important games coming up – starting with Saturday,” Okay said.

“We were excellent against Brentwood apart from a mad 10 minutes which cost us the game.

“Our home form has to start improving and we need to be hard to be at the start of the season.

“If we perform at our best we are capable of picking up a positive result.”

Soham will be without their captain, Lewis Endacott, who is serving a suspension after he was sent off in their 3-2 Velocity Cup defeat to Brentwood Town last month.
