ELY Cycling Club's Jason Nixon continued his time-trial dominance this season with victory at the club's latest midweek meeting.

Taking on more than 20 other competitors on the 12 mile Little Downham to Coveney course, Nixon made light work of the punishing head winds and steep gradients to come home in a scintillating time of 29mins 38secs.

Powering in behind Nixon, Lee Desborough wasn't far off the pace at 29:46 while a very impressive Steve Presland continued to raise his stock with a commendable time of 31:08.

A gutsy performance from Sue Fenwick saw her take home a well earned 36:14 while club Veteran and highly regarded tester Derek Bailey looked determined against the none-to-favourable conditions with a steady effort of 36:26 as fresh riders Chris Brown (36:35) and Rob Elton (37:09) followed in his wake.

Another new rider Dean Sheppard made his debut Ely TT ride a success with 38:56 to his credit as did fellow newcomer Mick Butler who pulled himself inside out to reap 40:07 on the line with Kieran Brady (41:44) and Graeme Osler (42:25) rounding off a strong field.
