FIVE women from the City of Ely Netball Club joined more than 7,000 other fund-raisers to take part in this year’s Cambridge Race For Life.
In support of Cancer Research UK, Livvy Petherick, Kate Randall, Sarah Smith, Jenny Tovey and Sue Deas slapped on the high factor sun cream and ran the five kilometre course around the sweltering parks, through the colleges and city centre to help raise money for the charity.
The City of Ely Netball Club have just held trials for their two teams – one of which will continue to compete in the Cambridgeshire and District Premier League. Their second team will be seeded soon and begin to play competitively in September.
The club train on a Thursday evening, from 7.30-9pm at Kings School, Ely. Call Sue on 07855 784133 for further information.
