Division Four
ELY II faced St Ives-based Icons at home on Sunday, having previously lost to them at the beginning of the season the team started the game in a determined fashion.
With some strong shooting from Ely they moved straight into a four-goal lead by the end of the first quarter. Ely continued to improve their lead throughout the game although Icons put up strong opposition which kept Ely on their toes thoughout the match with some strong defending and interceptions being seen.
The ball moved regularly up and down the court making all members of both teams work hard to retain possession of the ball. The final score of 33-20 gives Ely another well-earnt six points. Player of the match was awarded to Janice Quarrier for some excellent shooting throughout the game.
