ELY put in an excellent performance but lost their first game of the season against unbeaten Icons.
Ely came out strong, winning the first quarter and drawing the second. Despite exceptionally strong defensive performances from goal keeper Sue Deas and Cassie Start in goal defence, Icons pulled ahead in the third quarter and finally won the match, thanks to a fantastic goal shooter.

ELY's second team finished off the year by winning this top of the table clash at RAF Brampton.
Ely started well and finished every quarter in the lead.

Guest player Kirsty Blencowe shone as goalkeeper with Sally Shipley putting in a solid performance coming out of defence to play wing attack.
Sue Everett controlled the game with some excellent interceptions, Victoria Cutforth and Celeste Gordon fed the ball well down the court and Trina Baldock and Janice Quarrier were in fine form in front of goal.
