Ely Netball Club is certainly a team of talents on the up.
The club currently boasts five teams and is looking to cap a year of success by adding a sixth later in the year.
The local players are dominating the Cambridge & District Summer League, with three of five sides topping their respective divisions.
The club’s second side, who play in Division E, top the standings thanks to six wins from six, as do the thirds, who are the team to beat in Division F having also won all of their matches so far.
The fourths top Division G after five wins from five and the club’s first team, who ply their trade in Division C, are challenging the league leaders in third place with three wins from five.
The fifths – the newest of the club’s sides – sit in seventh in Division G.
A club spokesman said: “The club has a wide range of abilities and is planning to run back to netball sessions during the summer months.
“If you are over 16-years-old and would like to attend a session please contact elynetball@hotmail.co.uk for further information.”
