ELY pulled off a hugely impressive comeback to overcome their local rivals.
After a slow start, Ely had a six-goal deficit at the end of the first quarter. But by half-time the whole team had rallied to reduce their opponent's lead to just one goal.
Stretham then edged ahead in the third quarter, which finished with them four goals up.
This led to a tense final quarter where Ely's defenders made some excellent interceptions and, with the shooters in fine form, they came out on top.
Ely's Sue Everett was named player of the match.
