PERRY Moore made it three wins from three fights as boxers from Haddenham ABC entertained spectators at a packed Arkenstall Centre on Saturday night.

In front of top light-middleweight Takaloo, Moore outpointed D Jolly, of the Currock House club.

Head coach Mick Sawyer said he had high hopes for the 15-year-old. "I've got a lot of hope for both Tyler Goodjohn and him next season.

"He forced a standing eight-count in the first round and did really well."

As for Goodjohn, he showed his class once more with a unanimous points triumph over N Dicastro, of Brace Bridge.

Goodjohn was another to force a first-round standing-eight count, before dominating his opponent with left hooks and straight rights.

Unfortunately, those were the only two wins of the night for Haddenham fighters, as four boxers from the host club were on the wrong end of results.

Newcomer Jessie Smith lost a majority decision to J Corner, of Newmarket's New Astley club, while Charlie Sawyer suffered the same fate against K Penfold, of the Kingfisher club, Great Yarmouth.

Also defeated on majority verdicts were Drury Price, who lost out to T Aspell of London's Dale Youth club and Stephen Moore, who was beaten by T McDonagh, also of the London club.

Sawyer said afterwards: "All our boys boxed very well and they are all boxing top boys - at their standard, you are not going to fight mugs anymore.

"It's good experience for them. It was our first dinner show and it was very successful.

"Many of the people there told me it was the best show they'd ever been to.
