THE visitors came from 3-1 down to steal victory from March with a last-minute winner.

March made a bright start, with good movement up-front between Ryan Wright and Ashley Welland. A good run and excellent cross from Dave Webster saw Ryan Wright put March ahead with his first goal this season for March second team.

Soon after some good play from Matt Wallis and another excellent cross saw Ashley Welland flick the ball over the keeper to put March further ahead.

The home side squandered the chance to go 3-0 up when Ben Wright failed to convert a penalty stroke.

Pelicans made March regret the miss when they reduced the arrears with half-time approaching.

March began the second half on the attack and a fine shot from the top of the circle by Wallis put the home side 3-1 ahead.

Minutes later a goal-bound shot struck the Pelicans' post and rebounded to safety.

That was effectively the end of March as Pelicans hit them on the break twice in a relatively short period of time to draw level, before sneaking a winner in the dying seconds.

Ryan Wright was voted Player of the Match for March.

A combined March second and third team travel to Spalding 2nd XI tomorrow.

The match that starts at 2pm.
