Athletics Littleport runner Louise Stableford competed against some of the country’s top young talents at the England Athletics U15 Championships, held in Bedford.
Louise, 14, qualified for the final of the 200m where she placed sixth in a time of 27.05secs.
The teenager only took up running last year but has already excelled in the sprint disciplines and trains with Nigel Bloxham at the Cambridge and Coleridge Athletic Club four times a week.
Louise will now turn her attentions towards the national indoor championships, due to take place in the winter.
