Littleport Town Reserves player Will Rolls, who stepped up as manager, announced this week that the side have had to withdraw from the Cambridgeshire County League Mead Plant & Grab Division 1B because of lack of players.

Will Rolls, who has made himself available to play Littleport Town FC’s Reserves side each week, said: “It was becoming increasing difficult to field a full complement of players each week, and it didn’t help that we were losing players to other clubs including our top goal scorer Jon Bartlett.”

Reserves are currently seventh in the Mead Plant & Grab Division 5B having collected 18 points from 11 games played as they resume the New Year with a home league fixture against 5th placed Fenstanton Reserves, the side they lost to away 6-1 in December, on Saturday January 20. Kick-off is at 2pm
