EXCELLENT work from the Little Thetford batting line-up secured a nerve shredding one-wicket victory at Over III.

Opting to bat first, Over performed admirably throughout the order without troubling the scorers too regularly and worked their way to a patient 160. Thetford's Mark Browne was the stand-out performer on the day as he collected a fine return of 5-47 to ensure full jug responsibilities.

With work to do to ensure victory was theirs, the portents boded ill for Thetford as their opening pair were dismissed for just nine runs.

Enter Jai Amory to the piece though, and the ailing ship was righted, with his knock of 49 seeing Thetford into a strong position. Though late on, the home side began to wobble, they held their nerve with just one wicket remaining to seal a fine win.
