ELY Sailing Club's Simon Leeks overcome a barrage of testing winds and some determined competition to claim victory in the second round of the club's Summer Handicap series.
Solo sailor Leeks, managed to negotiate his way around several capsized vessels while surging past the remainder of a dogged fleet to claim first place ahead of club stalwart Gary Ungless.
Bouyed by his initial success, Leeks went on to take line honours in the two Solo class races ahead of much fancied favourite and club Commodore, Niall Pearcey.
Twelve year-old Jack Knight continued his recent impressive run of form with victory in the Topper Class.
