CRAIG Morely extended his lead in the Aprillia 125 Superteen championships to 18 points after a sensational performance at Cadwell Park last weekend.

The 17-year-old former City of Ely Community College pupil picked up two wins and came second twice to collect a total of 90 points from the race meeting. Morley gained 11 points more than second-placed Northwich-based Connor Behan and now has the title firmly in his sights as he sits on top of the table with 438 points with just three race meetings remaining.

Morley qualified in pole-position with a best lap time of 1:46.169, and his best time of the day was a blistering 1:45.462 which came in the third lap of his first race.

Morley's next race meeting is in Snetterton on the weekend starting August 8 and he then goes on to race in Pembrokeshire in September and Brands Hatch in October.

The Ely-based rider is looking to move up to the esteemed BMCRC Clubman 600 championship.
