SOHAM Town Rangers made it three wins in a row last night after they came from behind to beat Barton Rovers 2-1.

Despite falling behind minutes short of half-time, Soham rallied in the second half and goals from Michael Simpson and a last minute strike from Scott Carter earned them all three points.

The win sees the Greens move into 12th place in the BGB Midlands Division and gives them their third win in a row, something they have not achieved since August of last year.

There were worrying signs for Ian Benjamin's men as a vociferous Barton side took the lead just shy of half-time through Dennis Fennemore whose delightful overhead kick got the better of Lea Jordan in the visiting goal.

Soham regrouped after half-time and parity was restored after 53minutes as the ever reliable Michael Simpson registered.

Paul Jones spurned the opportunity to give the visitors a justified lead just shy of the 70th minute as his penalty was well saved by the Barton goalkeeper.

A couple of late attacking substitutions coupled with some astute formation changes from Benjamin saw the introduction of Charles Libam up front with Carter pushed further up-field to add another dimension in attack.

The changes proved shrewd in the latter stages as Carter snatched all three points for Soham with a strike just a minute from time.
