LACKLUSTRE batting from Littleport saw them lose out by 62 runs to an impressive Girton side.

Opting to bowl first, Port toiled admirably to keep their opponents scoring down and, aside from a troublesome partnership in the middle order, they managed to bowl their opponents out for 154.

J Leonard led the way for the visitors with a decent return of 3-32 from his 12 overs.

Tasked with a relatively comfortable target of chasing down around three an-over for victory, Port set about scoring quickly but soon found themselves in trouble.

Girton's Hobbs and Burton picked up four wickets a piece to really turn the screw and Port proved unable to resist as they were bowled out for just 92. A Buxton's 29 proved the highlight.
