Littleport Lions brought an excellent season to a wining end with all four teams enjoying victories in their last games.
In a fast and furious game, four goals from captain Alex Andrews helped Lions secure third place in Cambridgeshire Korfball Association Division One with an excellent 8-7 win over Tigers III.
Lions II continued the good work with a 9-7 victory over Phoenix II to secure an excellent second place in a very competitive Division Two.
The developmental IV team continued the trend with a 8-4 victory over Tigers IV including a rare outing, and two goals, from team coach
Lee Matthews.
Season plaudits, however, must go to Lions III. Led expertly by captain Andrew Sills, they defeated Cambridge City IV 7-6 to complete their undefeated season with record of played 15, won 14 with one draw.
Lions III will be crowned Division Three champions and be promoted to Division Two for next season.
Korfball continues throughout the summer with numerous outdoor tournaments both at home and abroad. The Lions tournament will be at the Littleport Leisure Centre on the May 28 and 29.
