ELY is set to play host to some of Korfball's brightest stars at the weekend at the annual Korfball Counties Championship.
Players representing 22 counties from around the UK will be gathering at Ely Rugby Club on July 25 and 26 for a weekend of high-octane competition that could see them crowned UK champions.
Incumbent champions Surrey, will be strong favourites to retain their title when battle resumes but Cambridgeshire finished promisingly last year to take sixth place and will hoping to make home advantage pay on this occasion.
Spectators are welcome at the event with a number of players from both the Ely Vikings and Littleport Lions expected to feature in the Cambridgeshire team.
