AN unbeaten 115 from City of Ely's Bruce King, saw his side to a 46-run win over Milton.

Invited to bat, the Ely top order seized the initiative and, led by the evergreen King and M Hatcher (56), they smashed their way to 238-4 from their allotted overs.

A blistering opening spell from Ben Storey in Ely's bowling reply caught Milton on the back foot and secured the bowler the day's best figures (4-43).

A late charge from the Milton tail end threatened to spoil the party for Ely, but the flurry of runs was shortlived as Ely polished off the tail for 192, Oliver Swann-Taylor's 3-28 proving invaluable for the home side.
