A last minute entry to an event at Keysoe proved fruitful for three young riders from King’s Ely Junior School.

Ryan Shaw, Ellie Grimsey and George Hearn took first place in the 70cms with three fast and clear rounds.

This was a qualifier for the NSEA Eventer Challenge Final being held at the All England Jumping Course at Hickstead in April.

The same team competed in the 80cms and were placed a respectable third.

Coach, Sue Cameron, said: “Being a qualifier , all the classes were highly competitive, and with just a team of three, this trio truly deserve their place at the final.”
