FEN rivals Soham and Mildenhall shared four goals in an entertaining derby match on Tuesday night.

But it will be Ian Benjamin's Soham who will be kicking themselves after throwing away a two-goal lead at half-time.

Steve Bugg scored both goals, after 20 and 25 minutes, assisted by through-balls from Michael Simpson.

Bugg also hit the bar in the second half with the score at 2-0, before 'Hall got back into the game.

As it was, Bugg's lob stayed out and goals from Owen Paynter and substitute Louie Farrington gave 'Hall a share of the spoils.

Benjamin said: "They really didn't look like scoring from open play until they got their first goal, so I'm really disappointed. We were lacking in certain areas but I still feel it was two points dropped."

'Hall manager Trevor Munns believed the conditions had a big part to play.

"They had the wind in the first half and scored two goals and we had the wind in the second half and scored two," he said.

"I wasn't pleased with our first half performance but we are probably the happier of the two sides with a point because we came back from two goals down.
