JUNIOR bowlers from the City of Ely Bowls Club added yet more silverware to the club's already sizeable hoard this season after they scored victory at a prestigious junior pairs tournament.
Following on from last weekend's successes for the senior competitors at the club, Saturday saw the juniors come to the fore, with some noteworthy performances at one of the region's foremost junior tournaments.
The club held its annual junior open pairs event for youngsters in two categories, under 15 and under 18. The event drew teams from as far afield as Pentney in Norfolk but there was also a very strong home contingent.
In the under 15 final it was victory for one of the home teams with Chloe Easy and Ben Ackroyd (pictured) defeating Josh Lambert and Sam Archer from St Neots. In the under 18 category Ben Russell from Chesterton and Robbie Barker from St Neots teamed up to beat Ely pair Wayne Bonnett and Edward Elmore.
