Jack Lines, pictured, struck gold twice at the East of England Combined Events Championship in Peterborough on Sunday.
The Ely-based 15-year-old King's School student was crowned both Cambridgeshire and East of England Pentathlon Champion for his age group.
Lines, the current 80-metre hurdle champion, added personal bests in the long jump, high jump, shot putt and 800 metres to clinch the title with a total of 2,451 points.
Lines said: "My coach suggested I gave the combined events a go, even though I had never seriously competed in three of the five disciplines before. I really enjoyed going from one event to the other throughout the day with the same set of athletes and it was a very friendly competition.
