Jason’s in top form

JASON Teckoe won Ely Tennis Club s Barbecue Tournament, winning 30 of a possible 36 games. Second place went to the highest scoring lady Karen Goodman, who won 25 games, and third spot was tied between Kenn White and Geoff Powell who took 23 games each.

JASON Teckoe won Ely Tennis Club's Barbecue Tournament, winning 30 of a possible 36 games.

Second place went to the highest scoring lady Karen Goodman, who won 25 games, and third spot was tied between Kenn White and Geoff Powell who took 23 games each.

The tournament had a social format in which the entrants played doubles with several partners but kept their individual score.

Former Club Chairman Ian Lindsay presented the trophies. He said: "We had a great day's tennis with 20 members playing and many supporters.

"Thanks go to Mick Bland, Sue Didlick, Mary Finney and Honor Porter for organising.
