Charles Libam converted Paul Jones's cross from the left to fire rangers into a fifth-minute lead.
Fifteen minutes later the Soham fans were fuming when Libam had a second goal ruled out for a dubious off-side decision.
The visitors pulled one back 20 minutes before the interval through a stunning 20-yard drive that left Lea Jordan with no chance.
Kirkley and Pakefield went 2-1 up 15 minutes into the second half when another stunning drive found the top corner of the net and five minutes later they were 3-1 up.
Soham piled on the pressure but couldn't find a way through with Darren Jimson being denied several times by the visiting goalkeeper.
n Striker Steve Bell has left Soham to join neighbours Newmarket Town.
Bell made his Soham first team debut three years ago when he was 16 and went on to make 51 appearances and score five goals for the club. He has also been top goal-scorer for the under-18s and represented the county.
Soham boss Ian Benjamin said: "Steve's a great lad and I wish him the best of luck. He's found it hard to get regular first team football at Soham but he has plenty of ability and I'll keep an eye on how he develops."
Ipswich Wanderers 1 Mildenhall Town 3
TWO goals from Andrew Claydon ensured Mildenhall came away with victory from the league's bottom club.
Two early saves from Ben Nower kept the visitors level but Town took the lead after 18 minutes when Dave Werthman headed a cross across the goalmouth and Claydon tapped in from close range.
But a fine drive from the edge of the box put Wanderers level by the half-hour mark.
Mildenhall piled on the pressure and scored five minutes before the interval when Lewis Blois's 25-yard free-kick deflected into the bottom corner.
Claydon struck the post early in the second half following Craig Hammond's flick on.
But the striker sealed the points by tapping in from two yards after Matty Robinson's shot was parried in the 85th minute.
