CREAKE CHARITY SHIELD SECOND ROUND
ELY City A made further progress in the competition as goals from Stuart Seekings (2) and Matt Brodie earned them a 3-1 home win against Comberton United Reserves.
JUNIOR CUP
SECOND ROUND
Sutton United are through to the next round after Matthew Keys (2), Colin Coulson, Russell Mansfield and Wayne Newman struck in the second half to earn a marvellous victory against Duxford United.
Sutton trailed 1-0 at the break, but then took control and Newman's spectacular chip, which made it 5-3, was the icing on the cake.
Littleport Town Reserves also progressed with a 4-0 victory against local rivals Little Downham Swifts.
Goals from Mark Talbot and Nathan Bennett preceded a spectacular 25-yard effort from player-manager Neil Cullum.
But Luke Butcher surpassed his manager's brilliance with a goal that was even more outstanding to wrap things up.
Stretham Hotspurs continued their poor run, however, with a 4-1 defeat at Whittlesford United Reserves.
