Ely City 1st XI 12

Long Sutton 2nd XI 0

BROTHERS Tommy and Ed Hugo dominated the scoring, netting nine goals between them as Ely demolished Long Sutton.

Ed continued his prolific form, scoring a first half hat-trick with Tommy adding a fourth before the break.

Ely increased the pressure in the second half.

The defence of Joel Gilmour, Tom Rutledge, Richard Vincett and Feroze Abbas worked well, with goalkeeper and captain Chris Vincett a mere spectator.

Julian Palmer was a disciplined midfield anchorman while Grant Gilmour, Stuart Clarke and Laurie Haslop provided much needed width and pace.

Clarke, Chris Roberts and Haslop all bagged a goal each.

But the Hugo brothers took over with Tommy netting a second-half hat-trick and Ed adding a brace to take his tally to five.
