Ely City Hockey Ladies first team were in seven-heaven after their clash with March Town Ladies after hammering them 7-1.
A dominant display from the home side blew travelling local rivals March away, with Ely moving to third in Division 3NW of the East Cambs Hockey League.
Elsewhere, Ely men’s title march shows no sign of faltering after they bounced back from dropping points last week by beating Horncastle 3-1.
The first team are now three points clear at the top of the men’s Division 3NW and are still unbeaten.
Ely 2nds clash with CoP 7 was postponed due to bad weather, and Ely 3rds secured their long-awaited first win of the season with a 1-0 victory over CoP 3.
